Choral activities (registration open all year)

Schola Cantorum “Francesco Landini” - Conductor Fabio Lombardo
This chours is for those who have already gained vocal and choral experience. Audition required.
Rehearsals are held Monday and Thursday from  21:00 to 23:00 at the Scuola di  Musica di Fiesole .

Laboratorio corale della Scuola di Musica di Fiesole - Direttrice Chiara Quattrini
Il Laboratorio corale propone un repertorio trasversale nel tempo e nello spazio (dalla tradizione  sacra e profana,  al gospel , al folk , ai grandi compositori classici) con lo scopo di far conoscere e sperimentare la musica corale nei suoi molteplici aspetti e potenzialità. Saranno previsti vari concerti durante il corso dell’anno.
Non è richiesta alcuna competenza musicale specifica pregressa. Vi si accede con un’audizione attitudinale atta a verificare le capacità di riproduzione di una frase musicale e la qualità vocale. Le iscrizioni sono aperte tutto l’anno.
Le prove si svolgono il mercoledì dalle 21:00 alle 23:00 circa al  Teatro Nuovo presso il Circolo Ricreativo Lippi, via Pietro Fanfani, 16 - 50127 (Firenze).
Inizio del Laboratorio corale della Scuola di Musica di Fiesole: mercoledì 12 settembre ore 21:00-23:00

Renaissance and Baroque Voice –Triennio (First-level Bachelor) and Biennio (Second-level Master)

The course includes, in addition to the development of vocal awareness, detailed study of Renaissance and Baroque repertoire.
Those who have completed the pre-academic course may register for the First Level Bachelor Course (Triennio). Admission is subject to successfully completing an entrance examination designed to assess the student’s level of preparation , based on the admission requirements available on our website. Pre-Academic Voice

This course is for young people who demonstrate the qualities and predisposition necessary for vocal study,  who may also be candidates for further study. The four-year course is a prerequisite for admission to either the Renaissance and Baroque Voice course or the Voice/Opera course. Admission to the course includes mandatory attendance of the following classes:

• Voice (weekly individual lesson)
• Sight reading (solfège – weekly group lesson)
• Piano (weekly individual lesson)
• Choir (Choral activities: labs, Schola cantorum  and/or special projects )
• Stagecraft (weekly group lessons from year II)
• Chamber music projects (10 hours per year from year III)
• Music History (biweekly group lessons from year III)
• Harmony (biweekly group lessons from year III)

Vocal training for amateurs and beginners

C 1 – Introduction to Vocal Training (1 year maximum)
This course is for adults who are interested in experimenting with singing. The following classes are required:
• Voice workshop (lessons in small groups, on a trimester basis)
• Sight singing (solfège)
• Choir (Choral workshop in San Domenico or at Le Piagge)

C 2 - Vocal Training (beginning level)
This course is for adolescents and adults with some voice experience or beginners with natural musical talent. This course is recommended for amateurs of all ages and for young people who wish to learn more about singing but did not choose, or  have not yet chosen, it as a profession. The following classes are required:
• Voice (weekly individual lesson)
• Repertoire study with accompanist (biweekly individual lesson)
• Sight singing (solfège)
• Choir (Schola Cantorum or Choral Workshop, according to one’s vocal and musical abilities)
