Antonio Sicoli was born in 1973. He graduated in Trombone in 1992 at the Conservatory of Music S. Giacomantonio of Cosenza under the guidance of Lino Lappano. He furthered his studies at the School of Music of Fiesole with Roger Bobo and Vinko Globokar and then with Michel Becquet, Joseph Alessi, Jacques Mauger and Rex Martin.
In 2004 he graduated in DAMS at the University of Calabria with a thesis in the Drama Musical Theatre of Nino Rota and in February 2009 and the Degree in Trombone at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence.
He has collaborated with the following Opera and Symphony Orchestras: RAI-Scarlatti in Naples, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Bellini in Catania, Teatro Comunale del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, ORT-Orchestra della Toscana in Florence and from November 2013, following an international selection, in the presence of Maestro Muti, he collaborates with the orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma like 2nd (first and 3th) trombone position.
He has several recordings for Naxos, Bongiovanni, Azzurra and publications (original pieces, revisions and transcripts) with publishers Bruno UETZ in Germany, Editions ANDEL in Belgium, Carisch in Milan and Master Symphony of Laterina
It is engaged in teaching. In March 2012 he was a guest lecturer at the Haute école de Musique de Genève. He has taught at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music in Florence, the E. R. Duni Conservatory of Matera, the G. Puccini Conservatory of La Spezia, the F. Venezze Conservatory of Rovigo, the L. D'Annunzio Conservatory of Pescara, at the Conservatory S. Giacomantonio of Cosenza and at the A. Pedrollo Conservatory of Vicenza.
Since 2004 he has collaborated like trombone teacher with the Music School of Fiesole, since 2007 with the L. Boccherini Music Institute of Lucca.
