Elettra Gallini was born in Florence in 1986. She began studying Violoncello at "Scuola di Musica di Fiesole" with M° F. Burchietti. Her studies continued at the Florence Conservatory of Music "L. Cherubini" under the guidance of M° S. Guadagni, thus graduating in 2010.

In 2014, under M° L. Provenzani, she has obtained the Violoncello "Diploma Accademico di II livello" (Second level Academic Degree) with maximum grade cum laude. Moreover, she attended the "Biennio per l'Abilitazione all'insegnamento di strumento musicale" (Two-year Academic Degree for training instrument teachers) at the Florence Conservatory of Music, graduating in 2015.

She attended classes with teachers such as I. Maurri, P. Masi, F. Pepicelli, P. Serino, M. Chen, L. Provenzani, G. Carmassi and, for Baroque cello playing, B. Hoffmann.

Also, as a student, she was in more than one edition of "Laboratori di Ricerca e Perfezionamento Musicale" under M° I. Maurri, at Lizzano in Belvedere. From 2013 to 2017 she attended annual masterclasses in Chamber Music under M° G. Carmassi; moreover, she studied with F. Pepicelli from 2014 to 2017 and, in 2019, with P. Serino.

She performed with chamber ensembles in various contexts, such as the Florence Conservatory, the School of Music of Sesto Fiorentino, "Stefano Strata" Music Accademy of Pisa; festivals such as "Pelago classica", "Santa Fiora International Music Festival", "Lizzano" and "Rasenna Music Festival"; she also performed at the "Lyceum Club Internazionale" of Florence, at "Centro d'Arte Vito Frazzi" and among productions at "Palazzo Blu" in Pisa; moreover, she played for the Niels Stensen foundation of Florence in occasion of live performance for original silent movies.

Playing in chamber Violoncello-Piano duo, she was awarded the 1st prize at the "Val di Sole - Città di Dimaro" competition (3rd edition, 2013), 1st absolute prize at the "Città di Massa" competition (2014), 1st prize at the “Dinu Lipatti International Competition” (Rome, 2015), 1st prize at the “Riviera della Versilia Competition” (2015), 2nd prize at the 27th “Città di Moncalieri” European competition (2015), 2nd prize at the 14th “Città di Viterbo” competition (2016).

She performed with Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina, and with Orchestra Giovanile Italiana conducted by W. Marshall during the “Allegro mosso” Festival in Ravenna (2012); also, she has played with “Toscana Classica”, “Geminiani” orchestras and at the “Persio Flacco” Theatre in Volterra; with the Florence Conservatory of Music Orchestra under conduction of M° P. P. Ciardi, with the University of Florence University under M°. N. Paskowski and with the “R. Franci - Città di Siena” Orchestra.


Keen on teaching, in 2010 she begun her training for violoncello teachers in the Suzuki Method at the Italian Suzuki Institute, later to complete it in February 2020, when she has been granted the 5th level of abilitation for the Method. During her years of training she attended various classes and workshops.

In 2015, she was granted abilitation for teaching at CML (“Children’s Music Laboratory”).

She teaches at “corsi base” at the School of Music of Fiesole, having collaborated with different music associations and schools.
