She began studying violin at the age of eight at the Music School of Fiesole and in 1995 started studying viola with Maestro Antonello Farulli. The same year she joined the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, touring in Italy and abroad under the guidance of conductors Carlo Maria Giulini, Riccardo Muti and Gyorgy Gyjorivany Rath.
After graduating in viola she participated in master classes and perfection courses given by Maestri Antonello Farulli, Jodi Levitz and Augusto Vismara. Subsequently she took part in intense concert activity in quartet and other chamber ensembles, favouring the baroque and contemporary repertoire. As a viola player she worked with the Orchestra del Teatro G. Verdi di Trieste, the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia and the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma. From 2001 to 2004 she taught violin and musical literacy at the G. Matteotti primary school in Florence. Since 2006 she has been teaching viola courses at the Music School of Fiesole and since 2010 has worked, as assistant and than as director, of its Crescendo Ensemble formed of 7-14 year-old students. Since 2012 she has also directed the first Tuscan nucleus belonging to the Italian network of ‘Nuclei’ inspired by the Venezuelan system founded by J. Abreu. She also assists Maestro Samuele Zagara in orchestral lessons and as a teacher of violin and viola for the group-orchestra of the Astrolabio association made up of children teenagers and adults with autism.
After obtaining a classical high school diploma, she went on to study at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy of Florence University, graduating with a thesis in Music History in 2002.
