Vieri Piazzesi began his musical education at the age of 4 at Fiesole Music School, an institue of great renown near Florence. There, at the age of seven he started playing double bass in the class of M° Alberto Bocini.

In 2012 he received his double bass muscial diploma from the L. Cherubini Conservatory, in Florence.
Meanwhile, he has studied with several teachers such as Massimo Pinca, Marco Martelli, Fabrizio Petrucci, and Andrea Capanni.
In the year 2015 he graduated with honneurs from the class of double bass Master (2nd level) held M° Amerigo Bernardi and M° Alberto Bocini in Reggio Emilia and in the year 2017 he finished his academic studies graduating from the class of Master en Interprétation Musicale en Contrebasse, filière Orchestre, held by M° Alberto Bocini at the Haute École de Musique de Genève.
He has also enrolled in several masterclasses taught by internationally renowned performers such as Klauss Stoll, Joel Quarrington, Philipp Stubenrauch, Petru Iuga, Alberto Bocini, Antonio Sciancalepore and Ermanno Calzolari. Vieri Piazzesi boasts a over 15-years orchestral experience gathered from an early age in many different ensambles such as Young people Orchestra of Fiesole, Galilei Orchestra and Italian Youth Orchestra (as second double bass player in the year 2013). With this last orchestral line-up, he has peformed with several well renowned conductors and performer such as Riccardo Muti, John Axelrod, Pascal Rophé, Wayne Marshall, Alexander Lonquich and Enrico Dindo. In the year 2016 he was one of the winners of the audition promoted by L. Cherubini Youth Orchestra, founded and conducted by M° Riccardo Muti, and he joined this formation until 2019, performing several times as second double bass player and few others as principal.
He counts among his major professional experiences numerous collaborations with “Santa Cecilia's National Academy” Orchestra of Rome, with “Suisse Romande” Orchestra of Geneva, with “Arturo Toscanini Philarmonic Orchestra” of Parma, with “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” Orchestra of Florence and with “Pomeriggi Musicali” Orchestra of Milan, all in rank position.
For the academic year 2020-2021 he took the place of supply teacher of the double bass class at Fiesole Music School taking over the role from the holder M° Anita Mazzantini.
